KCSSH midwife retires after 27 years of service

CAMP SANG-AN, ZDS—Mrs. Adelaida M. Panganiban Civilian Human Resource (CivHR), Midwife-I of Kuta Cesar Sang-an Station Hospital (KCSSH), receives a plaque of recognition from the Division Commander as she retires from her career at the Division grandstand here today during the regular Monday flag-raising ceremony.

During her speech, Panganiban reminisced about how her career started, how she dealt with the struggles as a midwife, and her happiness as she ended her career.

“Kahit anong hirap, tinanggap ko, masaya ako,” Panganiban said cheerfully.

She started her government service in 1994 when KCSSH was still a dispensary. She was also awarded as Model Employee of the Year for two years—in 1991 and 1993.

Panganiban is grateful that she has served the Philippine Army as a midwife of the 1ID’s Station Hospital. She also encouraged her fellow CivHR always to have that willingness to work, especially during the pandemic.

“Sa mga kasamahan ko, enjoy n’yo lang kahit anong hirap ng trabaho…at ‘yong willingness ninyo sa trabaho lalo na’t frontliners tayo,” Panganiban said.

Maj. Gen. Gene M. Ponio, in his message, inspired Mrs. Panganiban to enjoy the fruit of her labor after 27 years and make the most of her time with her family.
