CPNP: AFP, PNP magkatuwang sa paglilingkod

CAMP SANG-AN, ZDS – Police Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar, the Philippine National Police Chief, visits the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division Monday, August 2.

The Police Chief was rendered military honors by the Tabak troopers in front of the Division grandstand, where he was welcomed by Maj. Gen. Gene M. Ponio, the Division commander.

“We are very proud that we are visited by the Chief of the Philippine National Police for the first time,” Maj. Gen. Ponio said as he introduced the PNP Chief.

Police Gen. Eleazar thanked the Division commander for the warm reception rendered to him and his party. In his message, he emphasized that AFP and PNP must continue to nurture their relationship.

“Napakarami ng ating pinagsamahan…pinagsamahan na hindi pwede paghiwalayin kahit ano pa man ang mangyari. The operations that we had together, the training that we shared, and also the camaraderie and other joint activities that we had will strengthen our bond,” stressed Police Gen. Eleazar. “Kailangan natin ‘yon para maging epektibo sa ating trabaho.”

He also mentioned that the PNP would assist the AFP in terms of legal offensive and legal support. He encouraged everyone to unite, especially during the pandemic, and work together to accomplish the organizations’ purpose.

“In spite of this pandemic, magsama-sama tayo dahil iisa naman ang ating layunin at ang ating pakay, mapaglingkuran ang ating mga kababayan para magkaroon tayo ng maayos at tahimik na komunidad para sa ating lahat,” he added.

Chief PNP is also joined with Police Lt. Gen. Jose Chiquito Malayo, Police Maj. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, Police Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, Police Col. Gregory Bogñalbal, and Police Lt. Col. Titoy Cuden.

Police Gen. Eleazar is the 26th Chief of the Philippine National Police. He is set to bow out from the service in November 2021.
