The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “MATAPAT” Battalion (53IB) provided manpower assistance for fire victims at Purok Sidlak, Barangay Culo, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur on March 29, 2021.
According to reports, the house, owned by Gemma Papaya, was engulfed by fire with estimated damage of P240, 000.00 pesos.
The Matapat Troopers together with the Molave Fire Station and residents in the area exerted efforts to end the fire.
The initiative to bring out the fire was conducted by MFS Ground Commander, Inspector Herman Ting, Molave MPS PEMS Albert Lumingo, and One (1) squad composed of one (1) officer, nine (9) EPs, and two (2) Former Rebels (FRs) led by 53IB Scout Platoon Leader 2Lt John Peter Paul Gaquing, and Sgt. Ralfh Montiel.
