Philippine Army’s New Commanding General visits 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division

CAMP SANG-AN, ZDS | Philippine Army’s New Commanding General, visited 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division, Thursday, February 25 , 2021.

Lt. Gen. Jose Faustino Jr., Commanding General, PA was tendered with an arrival honor and received by Maj. Gen. Generoso “Gene” Ponio, 1st Infantry Division Commander, at the grandstand.

During his speech, he reminisced his days when he was assigned as the Commanding Officer of 35th Infantry Battalion, one of the operating unit of 1ID, that was based before in province of Lanao del Norte.

Lt. Gen. Faustino lauded the 1st Infantry Division with its accomplishments on focused military operations against all the threat groups in its joint area of responsibility and its efforts in mitigating the spread Covid-19 virus.

He also acknowledged the “Tabak Water Spring Resort Projects” that offer an alternate water source for the Command and a leisure/entertainment venue for its personnel and their dependents; health care facilities and management of morale and welfare of the troops.

“We shall equip you with the legendary goals in combat that enable you to accomplish your task better and look after your personnel welfare. Be the best that you can be. As the soldier of duty, responsibility and unwavering dedication to the constitution in the noble profession of arms.” Lt. Gen. Faustino Jr., said.

“The nation can count on the Philippine Army, steadfast commitment for being the vanguards in the Covid response, a cooperator in humanitarian advocacy, counter terrorism protector and an indispensible partner in the nation building. Congratulations to all and job well done!“ Lt. Gen. Faustino Jr., added.

Right after the talk to troops, command conference with the division staff and unit commanders was conducted at the Division Conference Room.
