CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The DSWD “Salamat Po Award” merits the Philippine Army’s 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division Officers during a DSWD Ceremonial Program held at Camp Evangelista, Patag, and Cagayan de Oro City on February 24, 2021 around 10 o’clock in the morning.
The “Salamat Po Award” was given by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in appreciation for their invaluable support and commitment to the programs and advocacy of the department in helping the people in the community.
Brig. Gen. Bagnus P. Gaerlan Jr., Assistant Division Commander, 1ID, PA received the award in behalf of the presence of Maj. Gen. Generoso “Gene” Ponio, Commander, 1ID, AFP.
The same awards were also bestowed to Brig. Gen. Facundo O. Palafox, Commander, 2nd Mechanized Brigade, PA; Lt. Col. Domingo G. Dulay, Jr., Commander, 4th Mechanized Battalion, PA; Lt. Col. Alfonso DS Matias Jr., Commander, 5th Mechanized Battalion, PA, and Lt. Col. Ray Tiongson, Commander, 10th Infantry Battalion, PA.
Meanwhile, DSWD Sec. Rolando Joselito D. Bautista, the keynote speaker, expressed his deepest appreciation of the unwavering support and commitment of the awardees to help the successful implementation of the Department’s various programs and services.
