FORMER REBELS IN ILIGAN CITY GIFTED WITH A HAPPY HOME
Iligan City – Former Rebels (FRs) in Iligan City were gifted with a happy home by the Local Government Unit of the City in coordination with the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Armor Division and 55TH Engineer Brigade, PA held at Brgy. Suarez, Iligan City last Saturday, February 15,2021.
The Half-Way House “Happy Home” Project is part of the main project to support the Former Rebels who embraced the folds of the law and will serve as their temporary home.
The project was under the auspices of E-CLIP or Enhance Comprehensive Local Integration Program set forth by the LGU-Iligan and other government agencies.
There were thirty-two (32) Former Rebels that were identified as the recipients and provided with financial assistance and free livelihood training.
The said activity was graced by COL. IRINEO F. SEBASTIAN CE (GSC) PA, Commander, 55th Engineer Brigade and BGEN. FACUNDO PALAFOX, Commander, 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade. Also present on the occasion were LTC HASSAN S BADAR, Battalion Commander, 554 Engineer Battalion; LTC Domingo Dulay, Battalion Commander, 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion; Msgr. Jemar L Vera Cruz, Vice Mayor, Iligan City; Mr. Ian C Uy, City Councilor; and other representatives from the different government agencies.
Meanwhile, Hon. Celso G. Regencia led the ribbon cutting of the facility, who also presided the Turn-over Ceremony of the Temporary Half-Way House “Happy Home” Project.
