Civil Military Operations Expert now leads Agile and Stable Battalion

CAMP SANG-AN, ZDS – A Civil Military Operations expert will now lead the 44th Infantry “Agile and Stable” Battalion after the change of command ceremony held in Imelda, Zamboanga, Sibugay, Monday, February 15, 2021.

Lt. Col. Filven Noche succeeded Lt. Col. Don Templonuevo who is set to take a higher staff post in 1st Infantry Division.

Lt. Col. Noche is a proud member of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 2001. He is a graduate of Military Intel Officer Course and Infantry Officer Advance Course in TRADOC, PA. He completed his Command and General Staff Course in AFP Education, Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC).

He is also a graduate of Masters in Development Management in Development Academy of the Philippines. Early in his career, he was assigned as the Platoon Leader, Operations Officer, Intel Officer and as a Company Commander of 44IB.

During the program, Lt. Col. Don Templonuevo, the outgoing commander expressed his gratitude to the stakeholders and his troops during his stint.

Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Noche, the newly installed Battalion Commander, vowed to sustain the gains of peace and progress which his predecessor have achieved.

He also pledge to continuously collaborate with stakeholders, likewise assert the importance of TF-ELCAC in it’s campaign against Communist Terrorist Group.

Maj. Gen. Gene Ponio, Commander, 1ID, the presiding officer represented by Brig. Gen. Bagnus Gaerlan Jr., Assistant Division Commander, 1ID, PA, in his message, congratulated and thanked Lt. Col. Don Templonuevo, the outgoing battalion commander, for his accomplishments specifically the dismantle of three Communist Terrorist Guerilla Fronts. “

Lt. Col. Templonuevo’s accomplishments against CTG and other threat groups significantly contribute to make this province a secure and peaceful place to live in”, said Maj. Gen. Ponio.

“I am also confident and sure that Lt. Col. Noche will steer this unit into greater heights with his experience and leadership capabilities”, said Maj. Gen. Ponio.

“I urge the stakeholders to trust and support the new battalion commander in its goal for a more peaceful and progressive Zamboanga Sibugay”, Maj. Gen. Ponio added.
